Solver Announces QuickStart Cloud Integration Tool for D365 Business Central

In late January of 2021, Solver announced an agreement with Microsoft to integrate the Cloud-based Reporting and Planning solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365BC). This integration uses QuickStart, a new rapid deployment technology that Solver has designed as an add-on for D365BC. This integration tool reduces configuration time and will have users up and running with Solver faster than ever.

Wait, what is Solver?

For those who are not familiar, Solver is a leading Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution for a variety of ERP platforms. This tool operates as an Excel Add-In that allows you to build your Solver reports and budgets directly inside Excel! This is an excellent option for businesses who use Excel daily and don’t have the time to learn a new product. With Solver, you can combine native Excel functionality with Solver OneStop Reporting (OSR) functionality to build dynamics reports, budgets, or forecasts.

Solver can connect directly to your database system or you can explore their Data Warehouse option. The Data Warehouse contains data from any integrated data source (i.e., your database, your payroll system, imported budget amounts, etc.). With Solver Cloud (their latest version), you are automatically given the Data Warehouse with your licensing to integrate your Business Central data.

How will this help my business?

With this new solution, Solver enables customers to gain insights into their business, foster collaboration in new ways, and enhance their data security. In addition to the QuickStart integration tool, Solver announced the integration to Microsoft Teams as well as the ability to use Azure Active Directory for single sign-on. Your colleagues will be able to review financial statements and dashboards without having to leave your Teams channel! You can also ensure an extra layer of security with the Azure Active Directory single sign on. It’s possible to secure end-to-end identity lifecycle and entitlement settings for greater privacy and security management.

You will also have the ability to drill down into your Solver reports and planning forms to view your data directly in the D365 Internet windows. This will allow for quicker analysis and visibility of your data.
