Mary O’Connor to Receive 2024 ASA Lifetime Achievement Award

CHICAGO – June 6, 2024 – Sikich, a global technology-enabled professional services company, announced today that Mary O’Connor, ASA, CRE, CMI, CFE, principal-in-charge of the company’s Forensic and Valuation practice, is the recipient of the esteemed American Society of Appraisers (ASA) 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mary is recognized for her exceptional dedication and outstanding contributions to both ASA and the broader appraisal profession. This accolade is reserved for individuals who exemplify steadfast involvement and loyalty with a minimum of 25 years of membership with the ASA.

“Mary is the embodiment of excellence,” said Ray Lampner, CPA at Sikich. “Her tireless work ethic, profound expertise and integrity make her an invaluable asset. This lifetime honor is a well-deserved acknowledgment of her contributions.”

A trailblazer since launching her career in 1979, Mary is highly regarded nationwide for her expertise in combining business valuation, real estate appraisal, forensic accounting and investigative methods. Mary is particularly skilled in valuing complex non-taxable intangible assets for property tax litigation and has been the testifier in several landmark cases in this specialty.

Her recognition will be commemorated during the Annual International Awards Luncheon, scheduled at the 2024 ASA International Conference on Monday, September 16, in Portland, OR.
