Professional services firm adds SCS, a Microsoft Gold Certified partner, to growing technology practice

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Oct. 3, 2016 — Professional services firm Sikich LLP announced Monday that it will acquire SCS, a technology firm based near Los Angeles in Glendale, California. A Microsoft Gold Certified partner with annual revenues of more than $9 million, SCS specializes in Microsoft Dynamics NAV solutions. The acquisition is scheduled to close on Nov. 1.

“The addition of SCS establishes a coast-to-coast presence for Sikich and will better position us to bring a broader suite of services to our West Coast clients,” said Jim Drumm, partner-in-charge of Sikich’s technology practice. “With extensive experience helping companies improve business processes through ERP solutions, SCS will bring impressive talent to our team, expand our NAV capabilities and strengthen our robust technology practice.”

Founded in 1979, SCS offers enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions to companies across industries, including manufacturing and distribution, agriculture and retail. In addition to its headquarters in Glendale, SCS has satellite offices in Phoenix and Las Vegas.

“Joining forces with Sikich greatly enhances our ability to serve our clients and creates new opportunities for our staff,” said Kolbeinn Einarsson, CEO of SCS. “Together we will be one of the largest teams of Microsoft Dynamics NAV professionals in the country. We are excited to bring an expanded portfolio of services to our clients along with an amazing team of experts in all aspects of Microsoft’s business solutions. The acquisition gives us the ability to accelerate our growth in the West and continue to be a market leader.”

The acquisition of SCS comes at a time of expansion for Sikich. Earlier this year, the company announced the acquisition of BCG & Co., a firm specializing in audit and assurance, tax, technology and wealth management services with offices in Akron, Ohio, and Atlanta. In 2015, Sikich acquired Altico Advisors, a technology firm based near Boston.

“Our expanding presence across the country positions us to better help clients address their varied business challenges,” said Sikich CEO Jim Sikich. “We are excited to have SCS on board and look forward to capitalizing on our combined strengths.
