Professional services firm promotes employees from accounting and human resources consulting service areas
NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Dec. 29, 2016 — Professional services firm Sikich LLP recently promoted Joy Duce, Anthony Cervini and Brad Hermes to partner. Duce leads the firm’s human resources consulting practice, Cervini provides audit and accounting services to local governments, and Hermes specializes in accounting services for midsize, private companies.

Duce, who has more than 15 years of HR experience, helps companies across industries with strategy, risk and compliance, benefits, compensation, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and recruiting and onboarding. With her promotion, she will be partner-in-charge of the firm’s HR consulting services. Duce is certified as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR). She is a member of the Waukesha County Business Alliance and the Society for Human Resource Management and is a board member for the Wisconsin chapter of the March of Dimes. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources and marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.
Cervini, CPA, has more than 11 years of experience completing audits of local government entities, including counties, municipalities, park districts and community colleges. He also has experience in internal controls, agreed-upon procedures, and other assurance and advisory services. Cervini is a member of the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association and serves on the Illinois CPA Society’s Government Report Review Committee. He is also treasurer of the Naperville Area Humane Society. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Benedictine University.
With nearly 20 years of experience in public accounting, Hermes, CPA, provides audit, assurance and consulting services to private companies across industries, including manufacturing and distribution and software development. He has experience auditing employee benefits and addressing technical issues, such as revenue recognition and software capitalization. Hermes serves on the board of directors for the Boy Scouts of America Potawatomi Area Council. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.
Cervini and Duce work in Sikich’s Naperville, Illinois office. Hermes works in Sikich’s Milwaukee-area office in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
